How Pyronyx defines assessment scope, assembles an exam, calculates scores and reviews integrity before issuing a credential.

This publication describes our current internal assessment process. It does not claim external accreditation, psychometric equivalence between forms, or guaranteed employment outcomes.

From competencies to an exam.

  1. Define the scope. Each program publishes its competency outline and section blueprint. Questions use the relevant level and practical context.
  2. Prepare and review questions. Authors specify the correct answer or coding tests, points, and reviewer explanation. Administrators check content and calculations before publishing a revision.
  3. Assemble the session. The server draws questions according to the program blueprint and shuffles eligible question and option order. Programs with multiple complete forms select one form. We do not claim those forms have been statistically equated.
  4. Preserve the package. The exam stores its own question, scoring, event and passing-standard snapshot. Later question-bank publication does not replace an existing session.

Academic scores, with context.

A correct multiple-choice answer earns its assigned points; an incorrect or unanswered choice earns zero. Coding credit uses the server-evaluated submission matching the saved source. A later unsubmitted edit does not inherit credit. Authorized corrections are logged.

Section totals contribute to the academic score out of 100. A separately reviewed integrity deduction can reduce the final score; its reason is shown to the participant. A confirmed disqualification invalidates the result. The pass mark shown for your assigned session applies, including an explicit batch exception.

Topic reports group credited points using an authored topic mapping stored with the question, or an exact match to an authored historical question. Untagged questions are reported as uncovered rather than assigned a guessed topic. Topics with fewer than three questions are labelled limited evidence. Percentages describe performance on this session; they are not a validated mastery diagnosis or a separate pass decision.

03

Review evidence before deciding.

Submission does not by itself issue a certificate. An authorized reviewer considers the session evidence and applicable rules. A focus change, interrupted upload, blocked copy action or keyboard signal alone does not establish what another app displayed or prove that a screenshot was created.

Participants can report technical problems, request an accommodation, or appeal a result through their dashboard. Incident extra time is granted only to eligible active sessions, with a reason and audit record. It does not reset the attempt or reopen a completed exam.

Verification and continuous review.

Certificates are issued after the applicable passing score and integrity approval. They are valid for two years, with public verification showing the holder and current credential status. Renewal requires a separately authorized new exam through an event or public registration.

Administrators can inspect outcomes and item facility. Small samples are identified and should not be treated as proof of reliability or fairness. Scope changes are published as revised syllabi; existing exam records retain their original package. Material scoring corrections require an audit trail and review of affected credentials.
