What this portal uses
Cookies are small values stored by your browser and sent with relevant requests. Local storage, session storage, and IndexedDB keep information on your device for other purposes. This policy covers these technologies, not just cookies.
The current portal uses first-party login and checkout cookies, a saved sidebar preference, a local queue for exam uploads, and tab-scoped answer and issue-report drafts. Google Analytics 4 is optional on public information and catalog pages. It loads only after you choose Allow analytics. Necessary only keeps it disabled and does not affect certification access. Advertising cookies and marketing pixels are not part of this integration.
Optional analytics and your choice
Google Analytics 4 helps us measure visits to public information and catalog pages. We send public page addresses and titles and recognized referring website origins; we remove URL queries, fragments and referrer paths. Forms, login and password recovery, holder verification, dashboards, payments and exams are excluded. Google receives technical connection information when an accepted visitor’s browser contacts its servers.
pyronyx-analytics-consent-v1 stores your accepted or declined choice locally for up to 180 days. Identifier cookies named pyronyx_ga and pyronyx_ga_* are created by Google only after acceptance, with a configured maximum lifetime of 180 days. They do not contain your name, email, password or exam answers. Browser settings may shorten their lifetime. Global Privacy Control defaults to Necessary only until you expressly choose otherwise.
Declining later stops tracking, removes this integration’s accessible cookies and reloads the document if the tag had loaded. It does not delete historical reports. The consent choice itself remains to remember your refusal. For provider details, processing and retention, see Privacy Policy: optional public website analytics.
Storage inventory
| Name & technology | Purpose | Lifetime & control |
|---|---|---|
pyronyx_sessionFirst-party cookie | Necessary to maintain your authenticated participant or administrator session. Contains an opaque session identifier, not your password or exam answers. | Up to 8 hours from login; signing out clears the cookie and invalidates that session. Blocking it prevents authenticated access. |
pyronyx_checkoutFirst-party cookie | Necessary to reopen registration orders created in this browser and submit payment evidence. Contains an opaque checkout identifier, not a bank credential or an exam code. This does not sign you in to a participant account. | Up to 7 days; HttpOnly, SameSite Strict, Secure in production. Signing out clears it and revokes its server session. Clearing it removes browser access to the checkout; approved account and payment records remain on the service. |
pyronyx-sidebar-collapsedLocal storage | Functional preference remembering whether you selected an expanded or collapsed dashboard sidebar. | No automatic expiry. Change the sidebar setting or clear the site's local storage. Your choice is stored when you use the toggle. |
pyronyx-proctoring-outbox-v1IndexedDB, uploads store | Supports reliable exam supervision by queuing photos, audio segments, activity events, and identifiers while uploads wait or the connection is unavailable. | Each queued item is removed after successful synchronization. Unsent items have no automatic expiry and can remain after signing out. Do not clear them during an unfinished upload. |
pyronyx-answer-draft:*Session storage | Keeps pending answer changes, question flags, and the current question in this browser tab so a refresh can recover unsynchronized work. No question bank or answer key is stored. | Cleared after successful answer synchronization or completed-result retrieval; otherwise retained for the browser tab session. Expired or conflicting drafts are not submitted. Closing the tab may lose pending changes. |
pyronyx-issue:*Session storage | Preserves an unsent issue description and retry identifier while the connection is unavailable. | Removed after successful report submission; otherwise retained for the browser tab session. |
Device checks and temporary data
Camera and microphone access is controlled by your browser's device permissions, not by a cookie. The pre-exam test keeps its audio sample locally in memory. Closing the test discards that sample. A successful device check can keep the live stream ready for up to five minutes on the preparation page; readiness is not saved in persistent browser storage.
Your browser may also cache ordinary site assets such as images, fonts, and scripts. This is separate from exam-upload storage. Clearing a cache does not necessarily remove cookies, saved preferences, or pending recordings.
Managing cookies and site data
- End your session: use Sign out, especially on shared devices. Signing out is not the same as clearing pending proctoring uploads.
- Manage cookies: use your browser's site settings to view, block, or remove cookies for this site. Blocking the login cookie will prevent sign-in or interrupt access.
- Clear a layout preference: change the sidebar toggle or remove this site's local storage through browser settings.
- Remove local recordings: first complete or end the exam and allow uploads to finish. If supervision still shows an upload problem, contact the organizer before clearing site data. Clearing IndexedDB deletes pending items permanently.
- Revoke device access: use browser site permissions for camera and microphone. During an active exam, revocation interrupts supervision; use End exam early if you intend to stop.
Deleting browser data does not delete records already stored by the service. Request access or deletion through the process in our Privacy Policy.
External sites and future changes
LinkedIn sharing and external reference links open separate websites. Those sites may use their own cookies and policies. Simply displaying a sharing link does not embed their tracking tools into this portal.
The optional analytics integration is disclosed above. Additional marketing technologies require their own notice and any applicable consent before activation. Browser permission for an exam or acceptance of participation rules is not consent to future advertising.
